But I guess we never stop learning, and next time I'll understand.Īnyway, no worries. But I never would have thought about Trace Bitmap to create it, because it can trace color images too. Yeah, that's what I thought a silhouette is.

To me, a silhouette is a b&w outline of a given image. So my Inkscape version does not recognize the image at all.

Generally, when I see no LIVE PREVIEW is when I get no results at all. Most of the time, I do not even get a LIVE PREVIEW even if I check the box. I have tried variations of checking or unchecking all the boxes in the SINGLE SCAN and MULTIPLE SCAN popup box. So when I follow the above instructions to make a silhouette from an existing image, my results differ in one of two ways.ĮITHER I just get an exact copy of the image (full colors and all detail) If I try drag and drop, all I see is the loss of this screen and a full page render of the pic I tried to drop (meaing I have had to type this whole thing 3 times now). My only options at the bottom of this text box is SUBMIT.

My apologies, but I see no functionality on this screen that allows me to post any pix. I have seen about 12 variations of these tutorials. Below is a link to a couple videos I have watched to learn how to do a silhouette.
